About Me

From Tangled Paths to Neural Mapping™

I’m Dawn, a 50-year-old trauma survivor, a mother to twin autistic sons (Ricky & Joey), and an artist who knows that "just breathing" doesn't always cut through the noise. I know what it feels like when your nervous system is in a knot of static, looping old stories you can't seem to turn off.

After years of trying to think my way out of the loop, I found clarity in the ink. My method, Neural Mapping™, is a somatic process. I use hand-drawn lines and "round out" the sharp edges of stress, literally re-mapping the pathways where trauma gets stuck. It’s not about making a pretty picture—it’s about finding flow where there was once a block.

I live in the woods with my husband, RC, a Great Pyrenees named Bailey, Myrtle the turtle, and a very judgmental Persian cat named Prince. My studio isn't a clinic. It’s a "Mental Forest," a space for those of us who are tired of toxic positivity and want something tangible to hold onto while we find our way back to ourselves.
